Chairperson Deb Johnson the Monthly meeting of the Board of Trustee’s to order at 7:00 pm. She also stated that the open meetings act is posted in the hall. Those answering to the roll call were: Deb Johnson, Mike Croghan, Amber Phillips, Susie Matchett and Josh Slonecker, none were absent. Susie Matchett made a motion to accept the minutes as read. Josh Slonecker seconded the motion. All were in favor with none opposed. Motion passed. Mike Croghan made a motion to accept the treasure report dated March 15th, 2021. Susie Matchett seconded the motion. All were in favor with none opposed, motion passed. After the Clerk changed the date of bills on report she read the following bills: Kathy Eaton, clerk fees: $230.87; Will Eaton, maintenance: $332.64; Butler County Clerk, November 2020 Election, $100.00; Otte’s Propane, propane for village hall: $428.80; Schuyler Coop, maintenance fuel: $304.92; Deb Johnson, Easter Egg Supplies: $236.00; BPPD, electricity: $370.21. Josh Slonecker made the motion to pay the bills. Susie Matchett seconded the motion. All were in favor with none opposed. Motion passed. Josh Slonecker made a motion to pay our street Superintendent Jim McDonald $300.00 for the year 2021. Susie Matchett seconded the motion. All were in favor with none opposed motion passed. Roy Harris talked about the progress on the cleanup of the old dance hall property. He also stated that he was very disappointed in the board for not coming and talk to him before getting the Village lawyer involved. The court case against the property has been postponed and will be dismissed after the total cleanup of the property is achieved. Denise Harris asked the board if the minutes could be put in the Banner Press. It was agreed on that a copy of the minutes will be mailed out to people in the village who request them. Josh Slonecker made a motion to have a Easter Egg Hunt on March 28th for the kids in the village. Susie Matchett seconded the motion. All were in favor with none opposed. Deb Johnson had gotten some pledges of money for the hunt totally $125.00. Frank Peltz gave $5.00 towards the cost. There would be eggs with candy, face painting/balloons and lunch of hotdogs, chips (donated by Roy and Denise Harris) pop and cupcakes made by Susie Matchett. Also in the motion to pay the ladies for face painting and balloons of $250.00. Deb Johnson also wanted to discuss the Village of having a 4th of July parade more will be decided on at a later date. The clerk is to look into getting a couple dumpsters the first part of May for the village residents for a town cleanup. Deb Johnson brought to the board’s attention a need of a street light on 4th street between Ash and Elm. The Village would have to pay to have it installed so Deb is to find out the cost of installation. Mike Croghan made a motion to table to next meeting and Josh Slonecker seconded the motion all were in favor with none opposed. Susie Matchett made a motion to getting gravel for the streets. Josh Slonecker seconded the motion. All were in favor with none opposed. Susie Matchett made a motion of adjourn meeting at 7:48 pm. Mike Croghan seconded the motion.
