At 7 pm Chairperson Deb Johnson called to order the monthly meeting of the Linwood Village of Trustees. She also stated that the open meetings act is post in the hall. Those answering to the roll call were: Deb Johnson, Amber Phillips, Sue Matchett and Josh Slonecker. Mike Croghan was absent. Josh Slonecker made a motion to accept the minutes from the May 20th, 2021 minutes as read. Sue Matchett seconded the motion all were in favor of motion. Josh Slonecker made the motion to accept the Treasurer report dated June 16th, 2021. Sue Matchett seconded the motion all were in favor with none opposed. June 2021 Bills were: Kathy S. Eaton, clerk fees, $230.87; Will Eaton, maintenance, $609.51; Jim Overton, mowing park, $98.12; Colonial Research chemical corp, mosquito briquettes, $490.29; Waste Connections of Nebraska, Village Cleanup, $942.50; Schuyler COOP, mower fuel, $88.00; Bomgaars, US Flag, park flower pot, maintenance supplies, $398.18; BPPD, electricity, $309.03. Josh Slonecker made the motion to pay the bills, Sue Matchett seconded the motion. All were in favor with none opposed. There was no correspondences. Still can’t get any reduce speed signs. Deb Johnson is going to a Butler County Supervisors meeting to see if the county would take over the maintenance of the street. July Parade will be the Saturday July 10th. Sponsored by the Linwood Village Board and the Linwood Vol. Fire Department. Josh Slonecker made a motion to have Deb Johnson get hotdog buns, chips and bottled water. Sue Matchett seconded the motion. All were in favor with none opposed. Behlen Mfg. is going to make 2 iron frames for the Village at the cost of $1597.40. Will Eaton has put the order in for them. Sherri Steager came to the meeting to explain what “Bargains for you on 92” is all about. People can pay a fee of $25.00 to be listed on maps and sell items that they would like to get rid of. Dead line for to get your vendor registration form in needs to be postmarked July 31, 2021. Forms can be gotten from Deb Johnson. Josh Slonecker made a motion to donate $100.00 towards advertisement of the shopper guide and if people would like to use the hall to pay a set amount for vendor. Sue Matchett seconded the motion all were in favor with none opposed. Some of the gravel that has been order for streets has been delivered and waiting on the rest. Will Eaton is to get prices for a cold mist mosquito fogger. Next meeting date is July 15th, 2021 at Village hall starting at 7 pm. Josh Slonecker made a motion to adjourn meeting at 7:47 pm.
