Deb Johnson, chairperson called the 21-22 Budget meeting to order at 7 pm and stated that the open meetings act is posted in hall. Those answer to the roll call were Deb Johnson, Amber Phillips, Josh Slonecker and Susie Matchett. Mike Croghan was absent. Jim McDonald, street superintend of the Village presented the one and six year plan. Sue Matchett made the motion to accept the plan, Josh Slonecker seconded the motion all were in favor with none opposed. Josh Slonecker made a motion to increase the Restricted Funds Authority by 1%. Susie Matchett seconded the motion. All were in favor with none opposed. Sue Matchett made the motion for Resolution no 2021-1 (Setting the Property Tax Request). Amber Phillips seconded the motion all were in favor with none opposed. After the board looked over the 21-22 budget Sue Matchett made the motion to approve. Josh Slonecker seconded the motion. All were in favor with none opposed. Sue Matchett made the motion to adjourn the budget meeting at 7:22 pm. Amber Phillips seconded the motion, all were in favor. Budget meeting adjourned.
September Regular monthly Meeting Minutes September 13th, 2021
At 7:22 pm Deb Johnson called the regular monthly meeting of the Linwood Board of Trustee’s, she also stated that the open meeting act is posted in the hall. Those answering to the roll call were: Deb Johnson, Amber Phillips, Josh Slonecker and Sue Matchett. Mike Croghan was absent. Sue Matchett made a motion to accept the minutes for the August 19, 2021 meeting as read. Amber Phillips seconded the motion. All were in favor with none opposed. Sue Matchett made the motion to accept the treasurer’s report dated September 13th, 2021. Josh Slonecker seconded the motion all were in favor with none opposed. Amber Phillips seconded the motion to pay the bills. All were in favor with none opposed. Village sign frames are ready to be put up. The one coming off of highway will be put where the old one is at right now. The clerk needs to type up policy on replacing useful sidewalks within the Village. Clerk is working with the League Association of Risk Management for to get a quote on “Affordable alternative Commercial Insurance. Sue Matchett moved the adoption of Resolution 2021-9-13 “Signing of Municipal Annual Certification of Program Compliance 2021. Josh Slonecker seconded the motion all were in favor with none oppose and Mike Croghan was absent. A street light needs to be placed on existing poles on 4th street near the alley way, in alley way east of Elm street and 5th, and power line over burn pile needs to be abandoned or buried so it doesn’t get damaged when burning the brush pile. Josh Slonecker made a motion for electrical lights and power line. Sue Matchett seconded the motion all were in favor with none opposed. Sandy Brandl was in attendance to hear about her walking dog not on leash. It was brought up that anyone going to a board member with something and wants it on the agenda to be discussed, that person or persons need to be in attendance of the meeting. Will Eaton, maintenance has a concern with a car in ally at 236 Beech Street needs to be moved for the maintainer can not get around to maintain the alley and it is sitting on Village property and has not been moved for many months. Next meeting date will be October 21st, 2021 at the Village Hall starting at 7 pm. Amber Phillips made the motion to adjourn meeting at 7:53. Sue Matchett seconded the meeting all were in favor, meeting adjourned.
