October 21, 2021 Meeting Minutes

 

Deb Johnson called to order the regular monthly meeting of the Village of Linwood board of Trustee’s at 7:00pm and she also stated that the open meeting act is posted in the hall.  Those answering to the roll call were:  Deb Johnson, Mike Croghan, Amber Phillips and Josh Slonecker.  Sue Matchett was absent.  After the Clerk read the minutes from the September Budget and regular meetings Josh Slonecker made the motion to accept and Amber Phillips seconded the motion.  All present were in favor with none opposed.  Mike Croghan made a motion to accept the treasurer report and Josh Slonecker seconded the motion.  All were in favor with none opposed.  Josh Slonecker made a motion to pay the October 2021 Bills:  Kathy Eaton, clerk fees-230.87, Will Eaton, town maintenance-581.60, Jim Overton, mowing-37.55, Menards, instant post concrete mix-55.92, Schuyler Coop, fuel-392.29, Lincoln Journal Star, Legal publication in Banner Press-64.38, Otte Propane, Inc, hall propane-445.20, Josh Slonecker-town maintenance-135.06, Bomgaars, maintenance supplies-134.57, Pekny and Assoc.  Preparation of 3rd quarter payroll returns-55.00, Butler Public Power District-electrictiy-304.49.  Amber Phillips seconded the motion to pay bills.  All were in favor with none opposed. There were no correspondence’s. The new Village Signs are up and the old sign will be put up southeast of town.  Josh Slonecker made a motion to put the sign up and Mike Croghan seconded the motion.  All were in favor with none opposed.  Josh Slonecker made a motion to accept the Resolution 10/21/2021 “Village of Linwood Sidewalk Replacement Policy” within the Village,  Amber Phillips seconded the motion, all were in favor with none opposed. The clerk sent information to Nate Fox to get a quote on insurance for Village.  After some discussion Amber Phillips made a motion to purchase a bike rack that will be by the Village Hall Building for kids to leave their bikes after boarding the school bus.  Mike Croghan seconded the motion all were in favor with none opposed.  It was also discussed that maybe next spring getting a bike rack for the park.  Will Eaton who runs maintainer to clear street of snows is concerned about cars parked along the street and not off of street.  It is asked of the residents to move their vehicles off of street in a forecast of plowable snows and that the village will not be responsible for vehicles in which get snow pushed up against them.  Next meeting date is November 18th, 2021 starting at 7 pm in Village Hall.  Josh Slonecker made a motion to adjourn meeting at 7:30.  Mike Croghan seconded the motion, all were in favor with none opposed.  Meeting adjourned
